Blog- Post Assessment

When I am looking for a quick bite to eat I always stop at my favorite place, Chipotle. The Chipotle that I always go to is located at 40 State Route 17, East Rutherford NJ. Chipotle serves amazing mexican food such as burritos, burrito bowls, tacos and salads. My favorite dish is the burrito bowl with chicken, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, black bean and white rice. This is a chain restaurant that started in 1993 and escalated from there. If you would like to know more about the history here or watch the video below.

This is my favorite restaurant because the food is so good. When I eat this food I am so happy. The food just puts a big smile on my face. If Chipotle was to close down then I would have to go to Qdoba. I could also go to Moe's. It would be hard to go anywhere else besides Chipotle, but if they closed down then I would have to.

My favorite part about Chipotle is that they cater. When I am having a party, I would call Chipotle. They give you a lot of options for catering. You can just order a bunch of burritos or you can get the two meat spread. They give you so much and there are so many options. Overall, I am in love with Chipotle.

Also here is a video that Chipotle commissioned. It shows how they are all about going back to the start.

Tech Article 12/5/14

  • A school recent got a gun recognizing and locating technology.
  • If there is a shooter the technology recognizes and contacts the police.
  • This also will notify the school authorities so they can lock down the school.
  • The school was not named because they did not want to bring attention to the school.
  • Also so that a deranged shooter will not try to go to the school.
  • The police have been very pleased with how the new system is working.

  • The technology answers the questions such as, " where is the shooter? Has the shooter changed his location? How many shots have been fired? Is the shooting ongoing? And, very important, what is the shooter’s direction of travel?"
Would cost about $50,000 to $100,000.

If I was a Teacher

If I was a teacher I would teach a Musical Theater Class. I think it will help student be able to express themselves easier. They will learn how to sing, dance, act and the history of musical theater. This could help student who are unable to pay for dancing, singing or acting lesson. The class would take place before gym class so that if they need to stay they can. For example, if the class is working on a dance routine they can stay because they are getting their exercise from the dancing.

I would want my class to be very free flowing. I want the students to be able to express themselves very easily. We would put of musical production each season. I would also teach the audition process. I would also have two classes, one for people who want to pursue this and another for people who just do it for fun. My objective would be to make sure everyone pushes their boundaries but are still comfortable.

Wiki Research

  1. How can a wiki be used a current class on your schedule (not this course)? Pick a class and be specific how the class could create and use a Wiki on a regular basis (tip: Use the Internet, here is a good source). In Italian class we always have a ton of projects. Wiki makes it easier to work in a group and find information about things Italian. There a lot of different information about things in Italian. For example, if we wanted to look up someone famous in Italy all the information would be right on Wiki.
  2. are the benefits of using a wiki in class? The benefits of Wiki is having all this information at the tips of your fingers. It is easy to look up information on a Wiki. You can learn so much by just going on a Wiki. You can also find people's opinions which could help for a debate in class. Overall, Wiki is a great start for research.
  3. How can we create a wiki in this class, what would be contribute to it and how would be utilize it on an on-going basis? We could talk about new technological advantages. Everyone can write what they know about the advantage. We could also continue writing on the Wood-Ridge High School page. Maybe we could add something about the arts since there is nothing there about the arts.
  4. What experience do you have using or creating wikis? I have never created a Wiki. I used it yesterday in English to look up a poet. I also find some random facts on there. I enjoy finding new things out during the day. I also like hearing people's opinions about certain topics.

Tech Article 10/24/14

  • This new app really make exercising something fun and exciting.
  • Now when you are working out the app will make a perfect playlist for you.
  • Spring adjusts the music you are listening to by what exercise you are doing.
  • Spring also asks what types of music you like to listen to before you start working out.
  • Spring has about 10,000 songs in their playlist.
  • Also asks questions such as whether you will be inside or outside.
  • When outside, not only will the app play the music but track the route that you have taken.
  • You're able to move to the beat that the Spring app has chosen for you.
  • You can also skip songs that you do not like unlike other music apps.
  • The app does ask how many steps you plan to take in a minute. Most people tend to not know this so the app offers a Rhythm Analysis. This helps you figure out how many steps you'll be taking and what rhythm the songs should be.
  • For other exercises such as cycling or swimming, the app will time you to see how many strokes or cycles you do in 30 seconds.
  • Fades into different songs as your temp changes.
  • Overall, Spring is an easy app to navigate.

Do Now 9/29/14

An editorial is something written by the editor that gives an opinion on an issue. This editorial here happens to be about Wikipedia. Teacher that I have had in the past do not like this website. Since anyone can change the information on this website it seem unreliable. None of my teachers would allow me to use this website. I have always asked why but I have never gotten a clear answer. After reading this article, it seem okay to use this website. Just because someone add something to the website does not mean it is incorrect. It just means that we need to look at things a little bit differently.

Tech Article 10/3/14

  • Before you would have to go to the hardware store to get your key replaced. Now you can do it online.
  • All you need to get a new key online is a clear picture of it.
  • For this website, all you would have to do is take a picture of the key, upload it to the website and then the key will be mailed to you.
  • It is only 6 dollars and there is no identification.
  • This is pretty scary because now anyone can get a key anywhere as long as they have a picture of it.
  • I do not think this is a good idea for this country. It just makes me very scared knowing how easily someone could get a replica of mine or someone else's keys.

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Posting Sem 2_Pre

Italian 4
with Mrs. Iannacco

Mrs. Iannacco started teaching here at Wood-Ridge Jr/Sr High School two years ago. She currently teaches Italian 1-4. She also run the Italian Honor Society, Italian Club and Class of 2015. Since this is Italian 4 the students are expected to know the basics of Italian. By the end of the year, the students should be able to have full conversations with each other.

Currently the students in this class have been going over the basics of Italian. Mrs. Iannacco wanted to make sure that all of her students remembered what they were taught these past years in her class. We also listen to some different types of Italian music. An example is the song 'O Sole Mio by Il Volo. Her grading policy is: 25% Test Grade, 15% Quizzes, 25% Formal Assessments, 15% Formal Assessments, 10% Classwork and Participation and 10% Homework.

One trip that is great to go on is the trip to the opera. The students were able to see Central Park and go see an amazing opera. Mrs. Iannacco is always using technology in the class by showing videos on her computer. She will project them on her chalkboard for everyone to see. I am so exciting to learn more about Italian and to go on amazing trips

If you want more information on the class you can look on her website here or email her here.

Tech Article 9/12/14

http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/10/tech/mobile/goodbye-ipod-classic/index.html

  • With the making of the Apple Watch, the iPod Classic was put to rest. Even though many people still love the iPod Classic, Apple is still not making any more.
  • Even though it does not have a touch screen like newer products, there are still many great things about the iPod Classic. The iPod Classic has 160 GB which means it can hold up to 40,000 songs.
  • Many people have been posting on Twitter about the iPod Classic's farewell. The tag #iPodClassic is trending on Twitter.
  • In my opinion, I feel like if people still enjoy the iPod Classic then it should stay around.
